What we collect
If you subscribe to product updates, we collect the email address you provide and store it with our email provider (Brevo) until you unsubscribe.
If you request a free API key by email, we store your email address to send you the key, plus a one-way hash of the key itself and usage counters (requests today, last used) to enforce rate limits. We never store the values you enter into calculators.
What we do not collect
We do not collect passwords, phone numbers, or financial account details. TradingCalc is a free product: we do not process payments and hold none on file. We do not require an account to use the calculators, the REST API, or the MCP server.
How we use your data
- ·To provide the calculators, REST API, and MCP server, and enforce free-tier rate limits
- ·To send product updates, if you subscribed for them
- ·To detect errors and improve reliability
- ·To understand product usage in aggregate (anonymized analytics)

Data retention
API key usage counters are retained while the key is active. Email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. To do so, email hi@tradingcalc.io describing your request. We respond within 48 hours.
Cookies and tracking
The web version (tradingcalc.io) uses Google Analytics with anonymized IP addresses. No advertising cookies or cross-site tracking are used. You can opt out via your browser privacy settings or by using an ad blocker.
Children
This service is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the latest version.
